Jacobo Sanz Hermida

Resumo

Don Sancho Dávila (1546-1626), well known for his obsession for the collecting of holly remains, can be described as the personification of the post-Trentine counter-reform bishop, concerned with the preservation of the cult and devotion of relics. However, it is the University of Tormes that promoted his most relevant works and preserved some of his most treasured relics.
