Rachilde : la révolution de l'écriture féminine entre symbolisme et futurisme

Novelist and rowdy woman of letters that crossed 50 years of French artistic life, from the late nineteenth to the mid-twentieth centuries, Rachilde often diverted and even "revolutionized" the meaning of images and stereotypes in fashion, in the literary circles she frequented, to develop his own speech on the status of women and the revolt of femininity. The article shows this textual revolution in three Rachilde’s novels, Monsieur Vénus, La Marquise de Sade, La tour d'Amour, highlighting similarities and differences compared to the themes that circulated in contemporary literature, including the Symbolist and the Decadent. The successive development of Rachilde’s writing leads to the use of images and phrases that anticipate, with ten years ahead, Marinetti and Valentine Saint-Point’s Futurism and still deepening with consistency, her thinking on the status of women.
