The 2024 Pontiac G6 is a mid-size car that's made by General Motors under the Pontiac. The Pontiac G6 comes in a coupe, convertible, and sedan body style and was built on the GM Epsilon platform. The Pontiac G6 is known for its sporty design and handling, but it faced criticism because of its interior quality and insufficient rear-seat space. Despite these drawbacks, it had been a favorite choice among buyers buying a mid-size car with a little performance.

The Pontiac G6 was offered with a 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 200 horsepower, but later models had the option of a 3.6-liter V6 with 252 horsepower. A 2.4-liter inline-4 engine was also available.  The Pontiac car included a four-speed automatic transmission or even a six-speed automatic transmission in later models. The Pontiac G6 remains a popular used car selection for those buying a sporty and affordable mid-size car. Inside, the 2024 Pontiac G6 interior was well-designed and comfortable, with a range of features and options.

The dashboard and instrument cluster were modern and well-designed, with clear and easy-to-read gauges and controls. The G6 Pontiac had many different audio and entertainment options, including AM/FM/CD players, satellite radio, and premium sound systems.  The 2024 Pontiac G6 had comfortable and supportive seats, with plenty of legroom and headroom for front and rear passengers. The Pontiac G6 had efficient heating and cooling systems, with easy-to-use controls for temperature, fan speed, and air direction.

The 2024 G6 Pontiac GTP had lots of space for storing, with large door pockets, a heart console, and a spacious trunk. The Pontiac G6 offered three different engine options, The base engine was a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine, which produced 164 horsepower and 158 lb-ft of torque. This engine was paired with either a four-speed automatic or a five-speed manual transmission. The mid-level engine option was a 3.5-liter V6, which produced 219 horsepower and 219 lb-ft of torque.

This engine featured a 4-speed automatic transmission. The top-of-the-line engine was a 3.9-liter V6, which produced 240 horsepower and 241 lb-ft of torque.  The engines were generally considered adequate, however, not particularly powerful. The Pontiac G6 was not particularly fuel-efficient, with EPA ratings ranging from 17 to 29 mpg depending on the engine and 2024 Pontiac transmission. The Pontiac G6 received good ratings for crash safety from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The vehicle was built with dual-stage front airbags, which could adjust the airbag inflation rate based on the severity of the impact. Additionally it had side-impact airbags for the driver and front passenger, along with side curtain airbags that extended from leading to the trunk of the car to protect the heads of most occupants. In addition to the airbag system, the Pontiac G6 also had several other safety features. It'd anti-lock brakes (ABS) to help avoid the wheels from locking up during emergency braking, in addition to traction control to boost grip on slippery surfaces.

Pontiac G6 also had a tire pressure monitoring system to alert the driver if any of the tires were underinflated, that could help prevent blowouts and other tire-related accidents.
