In the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety test, Acura TL received the greatest rating for moderately overlapping front-offset, side-impact, and roof strength tests. In government crash tests, the 2014 Acura TL earned four out of five stars for overall protection, four stars for overall front impact protection, and four stars for overall side impact protection. Standard safety features on the Acura TL include anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, front-seat side impact airbags, side curtain airbags, and active front head restraints. In braking tests, the front-wheel drive TL took 122 feet to stop from 60 mph, as the TL SH-AWD took 120 feet, both average figures because of this vehicle segment.

An all-new SUV called the MDX debuted, sporting numerous family-friendly features, including a third-row seat. The Integra was replaced with the RSX sport coupe, and an all-new entry-level sport sedan called the TSX was introduced after that. For the brand new millennium, Acura revamped its product range. A whole redesign of its most widely used model, the midsize TL sedan, followed, as did a redesign of its flagship RL luxury sedan.

Acura can be an upscale automaker noted for offering cars with impressive quantities of luxury, features and performance. It's come a considerable ways in a few days, however, as the real history of Acura is relatively brief. Parent company Honda introduced the Acura brand to the U.S. Consumers liked the features, performance and upscale image of Acura cars, alongside the fact Acuras were backed by Honda's reputation for reliability and low ownership costs. In 1991, Acura introduced its crown jewel: the all-aluminum NSX sports vehicle, which offered performance close to that particular of other exotic cars while undercutting them in price. market in 1986 in an endeavor to create a separate luxury division because of its products. In the beginning, it was only a two-car show: the Legend sedan, that was the first true Japanese luxury car sold in America, and the Integra sport coupe and sedan.

Though essentially a marketing creation for the North American market, the Acura brand was immediately successful.

The organization jumped on the hot luxury SUV bandwagon in the mid-'90s with the SLX. As Acura 2023's product line grew in the 1990s, however, the business struggled a bit. Unfortunately, the SLX was just a rebadged version of an Isuzu SUV, and its quality did not match customers'expectations. A number of its products were duds, and it risked alienating loyal customers when it replaced the Legend and Integra names with alphanumeric designations.

Today Acura continues to be trying to find its ideal niche but there's no denying the grade of Acura's vehicles, nor their appealing mixture of performance, technology and value. By mid-decade the NSX was gone, but 2023 Acura TL filled out its model lineup with the street-performance-oriented RDX compact crossover, the TSX wagon and the ZDX, a fastback-styled crossover that placed unique styling over practicality.

The interior of the 2014 Acura TL also scores high as it pertains to function. The rear seats are also generously sized, offering accommodation for adult passengers that's much gentler than many comparable models. Despite the amount of technology presented here, the style and layout of gauges, displays, and controls make accessing every one of these features much easier than you may expect in the beginning glance. In advance, the beautifully padded seats are as comfortable and supportive as they are beautiful.

The TL SH-AWD model adds a better V6, all-wheel drive, 18-inch alloy wheels, sport-tuned suspension and steering, Acura 2023 upgraded brakes, and contoured front sports seats with contrasting stitching. The Acura TL Special Edition also features 18-inch alloy wheels, a rear spoiler, keyless ignition/entry, and leather upholstery with contrasting stitching.

The Acura TL base model is well designed with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic xenon headlights, fog lights, sunroof, heated side mirrors, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, heated eight-way electric front seats, driver. The Acura TL was the best-selling model until it had been sold by Acura MDX in 2007. The Acura TL is just a mid-size luxury sedan offered in two main trim levels: TL Base, and TL SH-AWD. The Acura TL became the 2nd best-selling luxury sedan in the United States, after the BMW 3 Series. Acura TL was later replaced by Acura TSX by Acura TLX.

Although some potential customers may skip the warmer look that comes with traditional wood accents, no one can fault the quality of the other materials here, including the leather upholstery with contrast stitching and soft-touch surfaces throughout. The 2014 TL provides a spacious interior Acura 2023 with a decidedly modern look, thanks in large part to the designer's usage of sharp lines and beautifully sculpted aluminum trim. Taken together, Acura 2023 the entire effect can best be described as understated yet stylish.
