The DS 3 is one of many better premium superminis to operate a vehicle, but the ride quality and refinement on models with larger wheels might be better Citroen DS3 was the initial an entry-level model from the DS premium sub-brand spun off DS Automobiles. Originally manufactured as a three-door supermini hatchback with a convertible variation from 2009 to 2019, the second generation became a five-door Crossover SUV, named DS 3 Crossback from 2018 to 2022 in Europe. The 2023 Citroen DS3 (formerly referred to as Citroen DS3 and DS 3 Crossback) is just a luxury supermini initially created by the French automobile manufacturer Citroën.

The 1.2-liter petrol engine speaks for itself well in the DS 3. Initially crash-tested by independent experts Euro NCAP, the DS 3 was awarded five stars. All models equipped with this engine can return 44.8 mpg in the combined cycle and 2023 Citroen have a CO2 emissions figure of 114 g/km, this is impressive for a relatively small engine paired. However, this is reduced to three stars after retesting in 2017 under the most up-to-date and stricter regime. As an independent brand DS is in its infancy, we are able to only base its possible credibility on Citroen's performance in the Driver Power customer satisfaction survey. Both DS 3 models include a system called DS Connect Box that automatically alerts emergency services to your location in case of an accident. The car's adult occupant protection score is 69%, but its child occupant protection score is not impressive at 37%. Although UK cars come with autonomous emergency braking as standard, the DS 3 scores only 29% of driver assistance systems. The PureTech 110 is the only engine option currently available in the DS, and despite being only a 1.2-liter three-cylinder, it performs enthusiastically with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of 9.9 seconds and a top speed of 191 km/h.
The DS brand is not a part of our Driver Power Survey, but parent company Citroen's performance was significantly less than impressive. The CO2 figure puts both Connected Chic and Performance Line models in a low Benefit in Kind (BiK) tax band, making them as attractive as company cars.

First sold as a Citroen and then included in the prestigious DS brand, the 2023 DS3 is a luxury supermini designed to contend with models such as the MINI, Fiat 500, Audi A1, and Volkswagen Beetle. The 2023 Citroen DS 3 is a luxury competitor to MINI with flashy prospects. Like these cars, DS supplies a wide variety of customization, while the range of colors and equipment features means there are lots of options as it pertains to it. However, whilst the 2023 DS 3 can never truly contend with competitors just like the MINI hatchback and Fiat 500, the Audi A1 excels in quality, performance, and handling.

The 2023 Citroen DS3 can be an upmarket rival to the MINI with posh aspirations. However, the DS 3 hardly ever really harmonized against its rivals like the MINI hatch and Fiat 500, while the Audi A1 gets the edge for quality, performance, and handling. Like those cars, it supplies a wide selection of personalization, while many different colors and trim specs mean there are lots of choices when it comes First on the market as a Citroen, and then as part of the prestige DS brand, the 2023 Citroen DS3 is an upmarket supermini that's designed to take on models including the MINI, Fiat 500, Audi A1, and even the VW Beetle.

This compact but sporty coupe offered more performance relative to its older siblings, thanks largely to a better engine. The following year, the Scion brood grew to add the tC. The xA has since been replaced by the xD, which carries on the quirky and customizable spirit of its predecessor. By 2012, Scion had introduced the tiny iQ city car and the sporty FR-S sport coupe.

Standard kit on Connected Chic cars carries a leather controls, roof-colored door mirrors, LED daytime running lights, split-folding rear seats, cruise control, a seven-inch touchscreen display, air-conditioning, Active City Braking, and an alarm. 2023 Citroen DS3 Performance line models add an inside embellished by Performance Line emblems and chrome inserts, while standard equipment broadly matches Elegance models, with the addition of the exact same infotainment system because the Prestige. It even offers cruise control, climate control, and electric mirrors. The list doesn't stop there though, with 17-inch alloy wheels, sat-nav, Apple CarPlay, automatic air-con, and gloss black interior trim panels giving the car a comprehensive specification.

However, those seats do impact rear legroom and so the DS3 is best suited to carry kids, who is likewise better able to cope with the rather slim opening in to the back. The inner looks smart enough to justify the car's upmarket aspirations, although the product quality isn't as good as you'll find in a Mini or Fiat 500. Leading feels particularly generous due to the deep windscreen and large seats. The 2023 Citroen DS3 is stylish and attractive internally, but refinement might be better. What's more, while you can find three seatbelts in the trunk, Citroen's claim that the 2023 Citroen DS3 is really a full five-seater is really a touch ambitious. The DS3 does edge these rivals for space, however, even when it falls in short supply of the 2023 Citroen C3 where it is based.
