The economy may have you making cutbacks to your budget, including entertainment expenses like cable. Tightening your financial belt doesn't necessarily mean missing out on live TV. Cutting the cord in favor of a live TV streaming service could be a less expensive alternative. They offer a much wider selection of channels than an antenna would, and you can stream on your phone or computer, too. Six major services are available today: AT&T's DirecTV Stream, Google's YouTube TV, Disney's Hulu Plus Live TV, Dish Network's Sling TV , FuboTV and Philo. All of them offer different slates of channels for various prices. Below you'll find a chart that shows the top 100 channels across all six services. There are actually seven listed because Sling TV has two different "base" tiers, Orange and Blue. And if you're wondering, I chose which "top" channels made the cut. Sorry, AXS TV, Discovery Life, GSN and Universal HD. The realm of live TV streaming continues to evolve, offering plenty of choices to anyone who wants to cut cable. DirecTV Stream expanded its PBS channel availability and YouTube TV added the Hallmark network. Hulu Plus Live TV increased its price by $5 and now provides unlimited DVR for all customers at no extra charge. However, another Hulu price change is on the horizon for Dec. 8.
