Resumo

This study deals with Harmonia da Razão e da Religião (1793) by the oratorian Teodoro de Almeida, in the context of the «apologetic»  literature which was particularly relevant throughout the second half of the 18th century. The indications of books, readings and modes of reading presented and discussed by the author are emphasized.
